Living off campus

Many students attending SCCC/ATS live off campus or in surrounding towns, and living off campus definitely has its pros and cons. Some of the pros to living off campus for me include: I get a home cooked meal almost every night for dinner, I get to sleep in my own bed every night, I don’t have to worry about other students distracting me while doing homework, and I get to spend some quality time with my family. Those are just some of the perks to living off campus for me, but there are also some cons to go along with them such as: I miss out on the activities for dorm students, I haven’t gotten to know as many people as the students living in the dorms have, I can’t wake up five minutes before class and still make it on time (I actually have to get up a little early), and I spend a lot of money on gas driving back and forth every single day. These are just a few of the good and the bad things that come with me living off campus. One thing I wish I could have done during my first two years of college was living on campus and getting the dorm life experience. When given an opportunity to meet new people and be a part of the college life, you should definitely take it. Don’t pass up the little things. -Nicole Kirk (:

Admissions office :)

As a working college student here at SCCC/ATS I have experienced many things. The Admissions office has been great! They work well with my everyday life and I get to do a variety of activites for the college. The office worked with me as I helped coach the Hugoton girls basketball team. I've always wanted to coach and this has been fun to watch these girls work so hard. I would like to thank the SCCC Admissions office for supporting me! I have two jobs I enjoy greatly. The Admissions office is the place to work! & I would like to give a shout-out to the Hugoton girls going to STATE! GOOD LUCK! -Miranda Ramsey :)
